The 2005 WPA Artistic Pool World Championships took Place at Shooters Billiards in Southington, Ct. USA from January 19 thru 22nd 2006. Players from around the world gathered for this most prestigious title in Trick Shots. The field hosted names like Mike "The Tennessee Tarzan" Massey, Nick "Quick Nick" Nikolaidis, Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman, Andy "The Magic Man" Segal, Charles Spit Ball" Darling, Bruce "The Big Guy" Barthelette and Sal "Cool Cat" Conti. Mike Massey took home his fourth title in six years, with Nick Nikolaidis finishing a strong second. Defending champion, Lukasz Szywala of Poland could fare no better than 8th place this time around. "There is not a better Champion for our sport than Mike Massey,” stated Bruce Barthelette, owner of the Connecticut APA Pool league and co-promoter of the World Championships along with Shooters Billiards and the World Pool-Billiard Association.
